 The name of the Society is Veer Mitra Society (VMS)
  The Registered Office of the Society is situated at Chennai for the present and the area of operations shall be anywhere within India. The Administrative office of the Society shall function at Chennai for the present and in future it will be as decided by the Governing Board.

Aims and Objectives

To diligently attend to the holistic welfare of members and their families, addressing their specific needs and concerns at this and later stages of their lives.
To serve as a proactive facilitator in meeting all healthcare requirements of the members, including but not limited to procuring Group Medical Insurance, supporting timely medical guidance, and preferential access to specialized medical facilities. Collaborating with organizations offering home healthcare services, conducting health awareness campaigns, and offering support for mental health issues and overall well-being.
To serve as a proactive facilitator in meeting all healthcare requirements of the members, including but not limited to procuring Group Medical Insurance, supporting timely medical guidance, and preferential access to specialized medical facilities. Collaborating with organizations offering home healthcare services, conducting health awareness campaigns, and offering support for mental health issues and overall well-being.
To actively promote spiritual well-being among members and their families by offering practices such as yoga, meditation, etc. through physical and virtual classes, as opportunities permit.
To conduct virtual lectures and contact programs aimed at promoting wellness and care.
To host virtual sessions featuring insights from service experiences, to foster a sense of pride among non-military associates to cultivate respect for military ethos, values and service rendered.
To undertake any other activities deemed necessary to advance the aforementioned objectives.
Activities: In furtherance of the objectives set forth the Society may undertake the following activities:
I. Research and advocacy.
II. Capacity building and training.
III. Project implementation and management.
IV. Collaboration with government agencies, NGOs, and other stakeholders.
V. Fundraising and resource mobilization
To appoint all necessary officers for the due and diligent management of the Society.
To enter into contracts, as decided upon by the Governing Board of the Society from time to time.
To affiliate with similar Society or Societies or to join with other Societies etc, on such terms and conditions as the Governing Board of the Society may decide from time to time.
To invest the funds of the Society in accordance with the provisions of section 11(5)read with section 13(1)(d) of the Income Tax Act,1961 as amended up to date.
To engage in charitable activities as approved by the Board for the benefit of the poor and sick.
To do all such other things as are incidental to or conducive to the attainment of its objects, as a non-profit making organization.
To utilize the income for the Society towards furtherance of the objects of the Society and that the funds or assets of the Society shall not be utilized for payment to the authors or trustees or members by way of profit, interest or dividend.
To draw, make, accept, endorse, execute, negotiate, purchase, lend money upon, discount, hold and dispose of cheques, promissory notes, bills of exchange, drafts and other instruments and to cancel or change such instruments as per statute of Government.
To engage such officials, servants or other persons as may be found necessary or useful for the conduct and management of the affairs of the Society.
To make bye-laws, rules and regulations of the Society and to delete, change, or add to the same from time to time.
To do all such other acts as may be necessary, incidental, conductive or convenient to the attainment of the above objects or any of them.

The wheel's solid construction represents resilience, reliability, and the steadfast support that VMS aims to provide.
 The Intertwined 'VM' Monogram: The central 'VM' symbol, signifying Veer Mitra, is intricately designed to represent the strength and unity within our community. The design incorporates elements evoking a sense of stability and solidity, reflecting the enduring support we aim to foster among members.
 The Waves: The blue waves at the base of the monogram symbolise the vast ocean of experience our veterans have navigated, highlighting the unique challenges and experiences they bring to our community, as well as the calm support that VMS will offer them after the storms of their service life.
 The Knot: The nautical knot at the bottom of the central emblem signifies the enduring bonds of camaraderie, fellowship, and mutual support that unite our members. It represents the strong ties among veterans and their families, the core of the VMS community.
 The Devanagari Script: The Devanagari script surrounding the ship’s wheel ("वीर मित्र सोसायटी") is a respectful nod to the rich cultural heritage of India, acknowledging the proud legacy of our veterans within the country.
 The Circular Frame: The circular design represents the encompassing and supportive nature of VMS, highlighting our dedication to providing a comprehensive range of welfare services and embracing the needs of all members.
